Happy Valley, OR – First quarter filings today show Janelle Bynum raised a total of $502K, more than double the amount of opponent Jamie McLeod-Skinner, who reported a total of $194K. Bynum also has $560K cash on hand, a $247K advantage over McLeod-Skinner’s $313K.
These fundraising totals further highlight Bynum’s growing momentum in this race. Bynum has secured the endorsements of Governor Tina Kotek, Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum, Treasurer Tobias Read and the majority of Oregon’s Democratic congressional delegation.
Bynum for Congress Campaign Manager Blakely Wall released the following statement in response to today’s filings:
“Every day, State Representative Janelle Bynum’s campaign for congress is picking up steam. From being endorsed by Governor Tina Kotek, Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum, Treasurer Read and a majority of our House Democratic Congressional Delegation to now doubling her opponent’s Q1 fundraising total, there is no question about who is the stronger candidate to win back this seat. Oregon Democrats can either nominate Jamie McLeod-Skinner, someone who lost this district last year for our party or Janelle Bynum, a candidate who has defeated Lori Chavez-DeRemer twice before and will do so for a third time this November.”
