LOWERING THE COST OF HEALTH CARE
No person should be a medical emergency away from bankruptcy, but sadly that happens all too often in our country. In the Oregon state legislature, Janelle worked to expand access to health care and mental health services so everyday Oregonians don’t have to choose between putting food on the table or a trip to the hospital. In Congress, she stood up against Republicans’ attempts to cut healthcare for millions of Oregonians. She also fought to protect Medicare, expand Medicaid, and lower the cost of prescription drug prices.
